First Birthday Cake(s)!

March 16th, Lily's actual birthday was hectic and worrisome.  Mom started working that morning when Lily  developed a 102.2 fever while at daycare.  Mom brought her home for some TLC and a long nap and our tough little cookie quickly fought and broke her fever, returning back to her normal, happy self by the next day.  Phew!!

At her 1 yr appointment, she weighed in at 21 lbs, 8 oz and measured 29.53" long.  (59% for weight and 70% for height)

Grandma and Grandpa Bozic arrived on the 17th and we celebrated Lily's birthday with her very first chocolate icing cupcake.  She lovedddd it!

"Chocolate!"

"YUMMMM"

"I LOVE CHOCOLATE!"

"I think Grandma wants some!!"

"More, please"
Next up was Lily's big birthday extravaganza. Saturday, March 19th was Lily's first birthday party.  So many friends and family came to celebrate, we had a wonderful time. So many pictures...enjoy!

Hanging out on the deck with Grandma, Grandpa and Brad.

Happy 1st Birthday, Little Angel

52 weeks old.  One year has never gone so fast.  It feels like just yesterday, we were timing my contractions, not sure when to go to the hospital and then finally holding our precious Lillian for the first time.  The year went fast but we find it hard to remember our life without Lily. She has been the biggest blessing and has brought so much joy to our lives.  Just thinking of her puts a giant grin on my face. I think I can speak for both Brian and I when I say that we will remember this year forever.  I know that I certainly will.

So what's new with Lily?  Well... she is not quite a 'walker' more like a 'stepper'. She takes 6-7 steps then, plop.  Every day a step or two more is taken, it will not be long until we have a toddler running around. I guess it is time to invest in some baby sneakers.  And Lily now has 6 teeth!  Four up top popped through within a week.

In other news, Momma got a new job!  I will still have my 4 day work schedule and have transitioned back to the exciting world of business consulting.

Hours old.  March 16, 2010

Hours shy of being 1 full year old.  Strike a pose, Lily!

Not so thrilled about our 7am photo shoot

A few of my favorites from Lily's 1 year photo session.

So smart!

This week Lily has learned many things.
1. How to put the gum ball IN the gum ball machine after it rolls out
2. How to roll a ball back to you
3. How to fluently speak Mandarin

OK, #3 isn't true, but it won't be long.  :)

Well it's been an eventful week.  Grandpa Bozic came in for the weekend to help Dad with his tiling project, then Grandma flew in on Sunday for a quick visit with Miss Lily.  Mom unfortunately was laid off on Friday but she is excited to spend some quality time with Lily.  Dad is almost done with all of the house construction projects. Hurray!!  With the warmer weather (50's) we are taking more walks and going outside when we can.  Lily loves the outdoors still, especially wind.  She laughs as the wind hits her face.

She soon realized that sticks don't taste as good as they look
I call this her "ummm HELLO, play with me" look

Checking out the yard with Dad
Just writing an email....
Grandpa!
She would not take this popsicle stick out of her mouth!
Oh Lily, you make me smile
Grandma!!
Giving Grandma the "Come play with me!!" look
Lily loves to be pushed in her car
In go the gum balls!
Yay!!
Enjoy your week everyone!
