October!

This month has flown by. We’ve been playing a lot of soccer, watching football and enjoying the great fall weather.

Here are some pics from the past few weeks.

Auntie A came to Lily’s soccer game then spent the afternoon into evening with us. She read to the kids at bedtime. They had a ball!

These lucky kids got a Halloween care package from Grandma and PapPap. Mom and Dad even got some cool stuff too! Thank you!!

On Friday’s, Lily rides the bus home. Johnny and I were running through the grocery store before the bus came and as we were flying to the register, we passed the florist department. He stopped and asked if he could get Lily flowers. After I almost melted, I said of course! Johnny picked the biggest bouquet and waited patiently for the bus. Needless to say, Lily was so surprised!!

Lily colored a picture of Simone that she found in her coloring book. It was sweet to hear her talk about how she loved and missed her so much.

Next up was Grandparents Day. Gigi and Grammy came down for a morning visit to Lily’s school.

The next Friday rolled around and Johnny found another bouquet for his sister. ❤️

We celebrated Friday with a cookie since Lily passed a level in Math.

That weekend, we visited a fall festival in West Chester with the Baxter’s. The kids snagged great pumpkins and had fun playing with the kids!

San Diego!!

We snuck away for a long weekend in San Diego to visit Uncle Jeff in Pacific Beach.  (September 20-24th)  It was such a wonderful trip.  The kids did fabulous on the plane rides, weren't too impacted by the time zone difference and absolutely loved Uncle Jeff's cool place and everything around it.

On our first day, we visited La Jolla to see the sea lions and seals.  Although they were terribly smelly, the kids enjoyed seeing the animals interact, talk to each other and flop around.  We followed up the visit with a great lunch at a Mexican restaurant followed by dip n dots for dessert.  We capped off the day with a sunset trip to the beach, volleyball and another great Mexican meal in Pacific Beach.  Video: Bozic Beach Volleyball

The next day, we shot off to the San Diego Zoo.  Such a great day!!  That evening, we ordered yummy pizza and relaxed at Uncle Jeff's house and watched an amazing sunset from his roof.

Our last day we spent on Pacific Beach and at the boardwalk, Belmont Park.  The mounds of seaweed were of great interest to the kids at the beach! Everyone had fun soaking in the sun, Uncle Jeff became "The Seaweed Monster" and we jumped some waves.  We walked a bit to the amusement park once the kids were ready.  The kids faced off in a motorcycle race in the arcade before we hit up some rides.  Lily drove her first bumper car alone and went on the big roller coaster with Uncle Jeff.  Johnny also got to steer the bumper car while Mommy pushed the pedal.  Just imagine how many  360's we all did!   On our walk back to Pacific Beach, we stopped in a surf shop and Uncle Jeff bought Lily her first trucker hat.  She rocked it the rest of the trip!  Along the walk back, Johnny collected seashells.  We stopped for some beach volleyball and then at a great restaurant on our way back to Uncle Jeff's to top off our fantastic day.  The kids wrapped up the night with a bubble bath in Uncle Jeff's Jacuzzi tub!

The next morning it was time to leave.  We sadly packed up our bags and got ready to head off to the airport.  But not before we had one last rooftop view of San Diego!  Lots of hugs and kisses!

Thank you for hosting our crazy bunch, Uncle Jeffy!  We love you and will be back again!
