A Three Shot Kinda Day

This morning we ventured to the pediatrician for Lily's 2 month check-up.  She weighed in at 10lbs 9oz and measured 22 3/4'' long.  She gained 1.5lbs and grew 2 full inches in one month! For all the Mom's out there, you remember this appointment, one I will not soon forget.  Lily got a total of 4 immunizations.  One oral and three shots.  Poor Lily was so happy up until the first prick.

Smiles, Smiles and Almost a Giggle

That's right, almost a giggle!  Lily is so happy and on the verge of laughter, it is absolutely precious!  She continues to build those leg muscles, trying to stand. Her right leg is definitely more dominant right now, we're working on the left --we need an ambidextrous soccer girl!  Curiosity of her surroundings is increasing as well.  She gazes wide-eyed at her surroundings, loving bright toys, rattles, lights and the great outdoors.

8 Weeks Old

More Smiles!  Lily is now 8 weeks old and smiling on a regular basis.  She loves to spend time in her bouncer, kicking and "talking". She has very strong legs and tries to stand all the time when being held.  She's getting those soccer and volleyball legs ready!  She also holds on to your shirt when you hold her and rests her head on your shoulder. It is very sweet. She is still only sleeping 5-6 hours at night but we'll take it!  Beats 2-3 hours any day.

Smile! So big!

Bouncing and smiling :)

Mother's Day

Sunday marked my very first Mother's Day.  I must say that now that I am a mother, I have a whole new appreciation for all Mom's.  Being a mother is the hardest job in the world but it is the most rewarding. I am so thankful to be a mother and to experience all of these precious moments.  I have had so many memorable moments with Lily over the past 7 weeks and I could not be happier.  I could not be more thankful for my Mom and all of the Mom's out there.  You are all amazing.

Here are some pictures from this past week and from Mother's day at Grandma Louise's.

Grandma Louise came down on Thursday to help us garden again.
Sitting pretty with Grandma Louise

Saturday morning I had a baby shower for my dear friend, Jessi, so I left Lily with a sleeping Daddy.  They laid in bed and slept for a little, then played some halo together.  :)
Hurray for Saturday morning's in bed with Dad!

7 Weeks Big

Our little baby is slowly becoming a little person.  She's 7 weeks old!  I love spending each day with her, it's amazing to see her change and grow!  She now has many facial expressions and is very interested in her surroundings, especially nature.  She loves going outside!!  Whenever she is fussy, we step outside and she immediately quiets down.  Brian and I are very thankful that she was born in spring, not winter! :)

What a GREAT Monday

Monday Lily and I drove up to Allentown to have lunch with Great Grammy and Great Poppy.  We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed our time together.  Great Poppy handled Lily like a pro while Great Grammy watched adoringly.  It was a GREAT Monday with Lily's Great Grandparents!!

A Perfect Saturday

The Bozic family had a wonderful Saturday together.  The weather here in PA has been great for the past few days.  Sunny and temperatures in the mid-80's. It's hard to believe that on Tuesday, we were bundled up in our winter coats at Kait's softball game!

Saturday, the three of us went to the Longwood Gardens Wine & Jazz Festival.  It was really nice for Brian and I to get out and Lily was the perfect baby; sleeping and not fussing one bit!  Brian and I walked around, sampling wine from PA wineries while listening to some nice jazz music.  It got a little warm in the sun, so we found a shaded area and took some time to relax and enjoy a nice bottle of Mount Nittany Wine.  Lily woke up and was amazed by the giant tree branches above her. She loves nature!
Love the floppy hat!

Feeding time! She was a hungry lady.

Yes, he does!

Relaxin' with Dad.  (I can't rotate the picture -- it's a documented issue with Canon camera's and the blogger site.  Weird!)
