Zoo and Beach Babies

Early last week, Lily, Mom and Johnny headed to the Philly Zoo for a day of fun with Ba, Jack Aunt Kait, Angela, Loki and Cali.  It was very hot but we had fun.  Lily loved riding the ducky boat and the animal carousel.  It was so great to see everyone!

We had the best time in Manasquan last week and weekend at Great Poppy's house.  Mom, Lily and Johnny went down early in the week with Grammy and Daddy joined us on Friday with Aunt Briana, Uncle Tony and Uncle Brett.

Lily loved the ocean and sand and had a blast playing with everyone.  Back at the house, Lily learned how to play twister and played many games of hide and seek.  Grammy surprised us all with firecrackers and Lily really enjoyed sparklers and watching the mini show we had.  Such a wonderful time!!

Hot, hot, hot!

It's been a scorcher the past few days, so we've been doing our best to stay cool. Mom, Lily and Johnny took a trip to the movies to see Despicable Me 2, spent a lot of time in Lily's pool outside and visited the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia with friends.

Johnny is growing each day, very alert, smiling and coo-ing up a storm. Lily continues to make us laugh and surprises us with new vocabulary every day.  Life is good!

Happy 4th of July!

We hope everyone had a happy 4th. We absolutely did.  This year we kept busy with a local picnic and fireworks.  Both were so much fun!  The local picnic in town had a water slide and games for all of the kids.  Lily was timid of the slide but managed to get over  her fear with some coaching from Dad.  She also ate her very first snow cone.  If you want to be her best friend, get her a snow cone! She loved it!

The fireworks were awesome as well.  Lily loved running around in the grass and was in awe of the bright colors and shapes of the fireworks.  Dad and Mom loved watching the fireworks through Lily's eyes - just magical!  And Johnny enjoyed the fireworks too!  :)  

4th of July is serious business.
