Party, Party!

Fun, fun week and weekend! The kids are just awesome. We're having so much fun with both of them and the love they have for each other just melts our hearts.  Johnny is speaking much clearer, singing songs and even started potty training! Lily just adores helping her little brother and teaching him things.  But their favorite is being silly, giggling and laughing.  They rock.  

We spent an evening in town this week - dinner and a trip to the park.  The kids had so much fun!

Friday we had a belated 4th of July sparkler party.  

Saturday we celebrated Pia's first birthday in style this weekend with lots of family and friends.  The little lady loved her duck cake! 

 Sunday we spent bidding our friends farewell as they move to Boston.

We love summer!

Another fantastic weekend in the books.  Friday we broke out the slip & slide and the kids loved it! Saturday was a rather uneventful day for the kids.  We drug them around to do some kitchen decorating exploration...they were awesome.  Sunday we visited Tyler Arboretum and their "Terrific Tree Houses".  It was so, so fun!  We went on nature hikes, ventured through over 14 tree houses, mazes and a butterfly house. We wrapped up the day swimming in the pool!  Johnny is finally taking to the pool and embracing it.  It's great to have them both in the water!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy birthday, America!  We celebrated with a day of outside fun at the house and an evening of fireworks.  We celebrated a day early because Mom and Dad had a wedding on the 4th.  The kids had a great time at the fireworks, playing games in the field before and "oohhing" and "aaahhhing" for the show.

This weekend marked a big milestone in the house...we are officially crib-free.  Johnny climbed out of his crib on Friday morning and woke us up by strumming Daddy's guitar.  Sniff, sniff!
