More winter fun....and power outages

Is it spring yet???? It’s been fun, winter, but we are over you. We’ve lost power more times than we can count at this point! But I’m the midst of it all, we have been having lots of fun. 

Lily had a play date with her preschool friends,  Aunt Krissy came to visit, we visited GiGi and Grammy, we visited Longwood Gardens with Auntie A, spent an afternoon at a local watering hole with Johnny while we had no power and Lily was off shopping, had a snow day and fun with friends and the kids published their first You Tube tutorial on hair chalk. Lily is Eight!!!

In a blink of an eye we have an eight year old! We’ve had a few fun birthday celebrations over the past few weeks.

Lily had a massively fun sleepover the weekend before her birthday. Sixteen girls total, fifteen stayed over. We kept them busy with slime making, team relay races, Wii, candy, cake and movies. Lily’s smile said it all! 

The rest of the weekend we recovered. 

The next Friday was Lily’s actual birthday. We had our annual school breakfast Friday, then celebrated with ice cream cake and presents that night after soccer. Saturday we had a nice dinner out with Uncle Brett where Lily had her first ice cream float, followed by an epic Battleship game. 

Sunday we took the kids ice skating! 

Not too bad for turning 8!
