Hello September!

We've made it to September! Lily is in for a treat...Daddy can't wait for football Sunday's with his little girl.

Nothing too new to report. Here are some pictures from this week.

One Proud Papa

Sweet Lily and Momma

Yep, that clock is right. 7:25 am on Saturday morning.  We had already been up for an hour and a half...ZZZzzzz.  Don't babies know what "Saturdays" are?

New favorite toy.  This ball lights up, talks and moves.

She loves to push it and pull it back in.

Lily really likes the cats now.  She likes to pet them and just stares at them as they walk by.  The boys have been pretty good about this new attention!

Saturday morning, Mom and Lily went for a run at Ridley Creek State Park.  It was a beautiful morning, we had a nice time and got a great workout in.
Here we go!

She found it very funny that Mommy ran out of breath after a big hill.

By mile 2 she was fast asleep.

Finally finished! 4.3 miles, Lily was pooped.

Post lunch which consisted of sweet potatoes, oatmeal, carrots and broccoli porridge.

Gummy Smiles...For Now!

It won't be long until she has teeth! We can see one is on it's way through...'Til then we'll enjoy her gummy smiles. We keep her smiling and giggling (when she isn't being bothered by those pesky chompers coming in) by playing peek-a-boo, blowing raspberries on her belly and making silly noises and faces.   She ate bananas this week and just like her Daddy, she LOVED them!

Playing before school in one of her new outfits from Aunt Krissy . The shirt says "One Cool Cat" and it's paired with a cute pair of baby capri's!

Happy!

 Seriously Happy!!

5 Months Old

Yep, she's already 5 months old!!  Lily now weighs 15 lbs 9 oz and measures 25.5'' long.  She is an absolute angel. We love our precious little Lily more and more every day.  She really likes faces - poking and pulling lips, ears, hair and noses.  She usually sleeps through the night and is getting the hang of eating pureed veggies mixed with oatmeal.  So far she's eaten homemade carrots, yams, squash and green beans She loves jumping, laughing and giggling in her newest toy, her jumperoo, which is helping to make those legs stronger.

Brian and I got away for a night last weekend to attend a friends wedding while Grammy and Grandpa Bozic babysat Lily.  They had a blast with her! They got a LOT of laughs out of feeding her and then took her to town for dinner and walked her up and down the streets showing off their sweet granddaughter.  Thanks for a night out G&G Bozic!

We'd all like to wish a very happy birthday to Aunt Briana (8/21), Great Grammy (8/22) and Uncle Tony (8/25)

Morning goodbyes with Grammy before G&G Bozic headed back to Pittsburgh.

Daddy has a scratchy face!

Her feet don't touch the ground quite yet...hence our makeshift floor

Yesterday we went to Isabella's first birthday party. Lily had a great time playing with Bella's toys and meeting all of Aunt Gina and Uncle Bob's family. We got some great pictures of the girls!

Pittsburgh, Sitting, Laughing and New Friends

We have had a busy two weeks! We made our first trip to Pittsburgh last weekend for Dad's cousin's wedding.  Lily got to meet so many family members, it was wonderful!  While we were in Pittsburgh, Lily began to sit all by herself!  She toppled over the first few times but now she's a seasoned pro. She is also enjoying her solids. We've moved on to sweet potatoes this week.  YUM.

Carrots!

Sitting all by myself!

Walking with Uncle Wilf

Laughing with Aunt Krissy and Aunt A. Boy could they make her laugh!

Lily really liked Uncle Wilf's goatee

At the wedding, Aunt Krissy watched Lily most of the day

When we got home frome Pittsburgh, Mom's best friend, Amy came to visit from St. Louis with her beautiful daughter, Annabelle.  It was wonderful to see Amy and have our little girls play together.  Amy got Lily some very cute outfits.  They're twins!!

Adventures in Rice Cereal, Make-up Shots and Friends!

This week has been very exciting.  Lily has begun her daily rice cereal meal, which at this point poses more of a comical than nutritious purpose.   She loves to suck her thumb mid-feeding so that the gooey paste transfers from her face to her hands, then to the bumbo, her feet, etc.  Hysterical!  Each day she "eats" a little bit more.  Soon we'll be cooking with Aunt Krissy's Baby Puree book, hurray!

Happy little lady and her beautiful blanket made by Ba!

Make-up Shots

Friday we had to head back to the pediatrician for Lily's 4 month shots.  Poor Lily was SO HAPPY when we got there, flashing smiles and cooing.  Then the nurse with the orange fingernails walked in and it was all over.

So happy in her Minnie Mouse tutu onesie

Not so happy

Friends!
A few hours later, Lily and I ventured to Philadelphia to see Jessi, Ryan and Stella for dinner.  Dad met us there too.  Stella (about 10 weeks old) got a little upset so Lily tried to comfort her.  What a good little friend!  : )

"Hey friend, how are you doing?"

"Don't get upset, I promise the economy will turn around eventually.  We just have to wait it out. There, there."

Stella borrowed Lily's posh sunglasses for a photo opp with Dad
