A Lime for Lily

I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard out in public.  Last night, we went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and Lily decided she just had to try a lime from one of our margaritas.  You would think that after the first taste of the sour fruit, she would stop.....but nope!  She is Brian's daughter, apparently he loved eating lemons when he was younger!  Enjoy the video!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wH-w4oz5l8

Stairs, Friends and Ice Cream!

Our first walk of 2011! Lily loved it!

It's official, Lily has learned to climb the stairs -- all by herself, in under 10 seconds.  She reaches the top of the stairs and flares her arms in joy as if saying "DID YOU SEE THAT?! I AM AWESOME!!!".  Needless to say, we are learning that our portable gate is a necessity so that our speedy lady can't get away.  Her favorite "toy" of the week is a red toothbrush that we gave her on a whim to gnaw on to help her gums. She takes it everywhere...even to bed.

2.5 seconds in...

Hurray! Made it to the top.

Toothbrush sighting #1

We had a nice long weekend for President's day and spent Monday afternoon in the city with Stella and Jessi.  It was fun to watch the girls play.  Lily really liked their dog, Bailey's, bed.

Dog bed!

Stella came to join in the dog bed fun.

Just relaxin'

Pretty ladies!

Lily has learned that Dad is the man with the sweets right before bedtime and on this particular night, made her way over to him for some Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia.  It's messy but priceless.
Kisses from Dad

"Daddy, can I have some ice cream?"

"What's so funny?"

11 Months Old!

Believe it or not, Lily is already 11 months old!  She is learning so much at school and even moved out of her crib and has started to take her naps on a mat like the toddlers!  She loves all of her friends at school and is learning to give friend hugs.  Her waves hello and goodbye are getting better and she throws a mean high-five.

Last Sunday we spent the day at Aunt Bri and Uncle Tony's with Brett, Grammy Louise, Great Grammy and Great Poppy.  Lily had a blast being the center of attention, flashing her pretty grin and showing off her new tricks. It was lovely to see everyone!

Ahh, found the syrup!

Just....can't....reach...

Sweets!

Over the past few weeks, we have slowly introduced Lily to a few delicious desserts.  Sorbet, ice cream, fudgsicles and cupcakes.  She loved every single one!  She stole Mom's fudgsicle after one taste. Can you say MESSY?  She continues to yap away and points at almost everything and asks "Da?"  She LOVES looking at pictures in the house.  She finds them hysterical and giggles away as she points.   It's the cutest thing!

Fudgsicle!

Only half-way done.  This got a LOT messier!

Possibly one of the last fires we may have this year! YAY.

Early Valentines Day cupcake.  Not so sure...

And......

She likes it!!

"num, num, num" she said

Still going strong...

Very confused as to why it was stuck to her hand

Last bite!

Catching up

We've got a lot of catching up to do.  Sorry to all of the avid blog checkers! Lily has progressed to the word "hi", waving with her little hand and pointing at objects with her pointer finger. Her favorite words are Da-da and Ma-ma and we're pretty sure she knows which is which....but what do we know.   =)  She stands alone for what seems like forever and still loves to push her walker, car and cart all over the house with such a proud look of accomplishment on her sweet little face. We have a lot of new pictures, enjoy!
Snow day #2.  Dad was home and took Lily for a long sled ride.

Go Dad, go!

She didn't want to stop.  She cried when we took her out of the sled.

Nothing an edible snowball wouldn't fix.

Standing and eating yummy fingers.

A visit up to Great Grammy's.  Grammy dug out old toys from when the Tharp's were kids.  Here is Uncle Tony pushing Lily around in a doll stroller. : )

She loves sitting by the fire.  Just like Dad.

Look out, crazy driver!

I love those chubby cheeks!

Looking at her Grandparents book.  She misses all of them.

Clap!!
Tomorrow is a BIG day for Lily and all of the Bozic's.  SUPERBOWL!  LET'S GO STEELERS!

Snow Day!

Daycare closed today because of snow, so Mom willingly stayed home with Lily.  We finally made it outside to experience the snow.  Our little snow bunny wasn't sure what to make of the wet flakes hitting her face, hence her confused look.

Sledding down the driveway.

Not so sure about the snow hitting her face.

First time eating snow!

Not really sure about it.

Bath time with our new toy! Thanks, Grandma!

Caught-cha!

Lily loves sharing.  She especially likes to feed Mom and Dad her food. Yum.
Sharing Mommy's phone with Hines.

Reading!

Smile!

More reading in her awesome Beatles onesie.  Thanks, Uncle Jeff!
