Playground fun

Last Sunday we took Lily to the Media Tot Lot for some afternoon fun.  She loved every second of it!  We had the park all to ourselves for a while then some other kids came for her to play with.  Lily and Dad had so much fun playing on the equipment and chasing each other around.    Enjoy!

Summer Fun

One thing is for sure, Lily loves summer! All she has to do is point to the door and out we go to play with her bubbles, chalk, and cars. This weekend Lily tasted her first water ice and then she so kindly fed it to the bench and table we were sitting on as well.  Such a thoughtful little girl!  She is liking the cats more and more every day, now petting them and giving hugs and she loves to steal our phones and "talk".  She wanders from room to room, phone pressed to her ear saying "hi, hi" over and over.  Pretty stinkin' cute!

Lily got to visit with Aunt Bri, Uncle Tony, Uncle Brett and Grammy Louise on Friday while Mom and Dad went to dinner in the city with friends.  Lily had a blast with everyone!  She loved her walk to the park, organizing colored shells on the porch and feeding her dinner to everyone, even Guster, the dog! She took to Aunt Bri right away and wanted to be held by just her! (How are your arms feeling, Bri!?)  XOXO

So happy!

Intense phone conversation going on here...

Hi, hi!

Rita's!  After the first bite, Mom realized that a). Cherry was a bad flavor to get and b). A white shirt (although cute) was an even worse idea.

"Yummm" was her reaction after one bite.

Shirt off, time to eat! (Notice left hand) This is after she shared with the bench.

She didn't understand why I was laughing at her....what a mess!

#1 Dad

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!! Lily and I had a fun, relaxing day planned for Dad today.  It all started bright an early when Lily and I left the house shortly after she woke up to let Dad sleep in. (There is no better time to do grocery shopping than 7:30am on a Sunday!) The rest of the day we relaxed in Dad's new pool, played outside and ate sliders (Dad's favorite).  What a wonderful day!

Relaxing in the pool.

Hanging out with Dad.

Done with the pool, time for wiffle ball!

1 ball....

2 balls...

3 balls...she learned she couldn't carry any more than that.

Sunday was also Auntie A's birthday and she got to talk to Lily on the phone!

SOOO excited to talk on the phone!

Saying, "hi"

Listening to Auntie A and babbling back to her.

All done.  Her first of many phone conversations!

15 Months Old & First 5k

Miss Lily has reached the 15th month mark and has successfully hit all of her milestones! (physical, verbal, social, language and cognitive) Way to go, little lady!  On top of her massive successes her also participated in her first 5k...from the front of the jogging stroller, of course.  Today, the whole family woke up bright and early and participated in the Easter Seal's 5k at the Philadelphia Zoo. (Even Dad!!!!)  We had a nice time and got to visit some of the animals after the race.

After the race, we flew off to Lily's friend's 2nd birthday party.  Lily loved watching the older kids and really loved all of the presents he got! She especially liked her goody bag; her red lollipop in particular.  ....Daddy's little girl insisted on taking her lollipop in the car against Mom's request...Lily hid the lollipop somewhere mysterious on the way home in the car.  We found it after we got out of the car....someone got a bath immediately upon arrival.

Tomorrow is Father's Day and we have a fun, relaxing day planned for Dad.  :-)

Walking with Mom.

Now walking with Dad. She was having a "hold my hand" kind of morning. :)

Ahhh, lesson learned.  Luckily Dad was able to wash the lollipop out easily.  Guess who won't be getting any more lollipops in the car?????

Little Lady

Practically over night, our little baby has turned into a little lady.  There's no doubt about it, Lily is one girly girl.  One word....  Accessories!  From purses to shoes, she loves it all.  Her favorite accessory by far is definitely her sunglasses.  She has 2 pairs (pink with faux diamonds and pink princesses) that we have with us at all times.

She exhibited her lady-like tendency's at Aunt Megan's wedding on Friday.  With her pink dress, pearl purse, sunglasses and barrette, she was the cat's meow.  She also loves walking around the house with her other purses (and Mom's wallet's), slung around her arms.  Enjoy the pictures!

"Hmmm, where is Dad's train?"

Waiting, waiting.

"Train, train, train!"

Lily loves her sunglasses!

Ready to rock and roll!
