Back to School & Outside Fun

The kids had a great first week in their new classrooms at school! Johnny is loving being with the older kids and gets to see his big sister several times a day now.  Lily loves her new teacher and is learning so many new things. For their first week "back to school", the kids were given a lollipop on the way out.  Johnny, of course, grabbed one as fast as he could and really enjoyed it!

After we got home on Friday, we played outside in the pools, taking full advantage of the lasting warm weather.  Johnny didn't want to wait for his bathing suit and just jumped right in with his school clothes on.

Saturday, we were invited to a fun BBQ at Bella's house.  Some of Mom's friends were there with their kids too.  Lily proclaimed it was the "Best day ever" after she saw the water slide in the back yard.  The kids played for hours!  Genius!  They wrapped up the evening with a Barbie and Princess talent show, which consisted of them singing songs and dancing around with the dolls.  Pretty darn cute.

Sunday, Dad went off to watch the Steelers game so Mom took Super Lily and Johnny to the playground to burn off some energy.  It was so fun!

Playgrounds and a Pool Party

Labor Day weekend!  We had a great long weekend, enjoying the weather and hanging out with friends.  Friday, the kids and Mom went to visit the Smith Memorial Playground in Philadelphia with friends, Stella and Mabel.  The playground was awesome!  Saturday, the weather was still holding out so we took Lily to what will be her elementary school's playground.  She LOVED it and is so excited for school next year.  Sunday, Uncle Brett, Aunt Briana, Uncle Tony, Baby Pia, Grammy and GiGi came down for a BBQ and to play in the pool.  Baby Pia took her first swim!  The water was chilly but she didn't seem to mind after a few minutes.  It was hot out!

More Zoo Fun and a Carnival

It's been a fun week and weekend.  The weather has been just beautiful and we've been enjoying it as much as we can before summer is over.  Friday, we ventured to the zoo again but this time with Mommy's friend Aly and her son Josh.  The kids loved seeing the gorillas and eating ice cream.  Afterwards, we stopped over to see Baby Pia and Aunt Briana again.  Such a cutie!!!

Saturday, we put on our rain boots and had fun at the SAP carnival with Pops, Ba, Jack and Uncle Brett.  We ran into Bella and her Dad and the girls had an absolutely wonderful time going on rides and eating all the delicious food.
