Happy 4th of July!

Happy birthday, America!  We celebrated with a day of outside fun at the house and an evening of fireworks.  We celebrated a day early because Mom and Dad had a wedding on the 4th.  The kids had a great time at the fireworks, playing games in the field before and "oohhing" and "aaahhhing" for the show.

This weekend marked a big milestone in the house...we are officially crib-free.  Johnny climbed out of his crib on Friday morning and woke us up by strumming Daddy's guitar.  Sniff, sniff!

Two fun weekends!

Back to back great weekends!  Last weekend we went to the Philly Zoo and played with our friends down the road before celebrating Daddy on Sunday.

Twins!

Tiger Lily strikes again.

Black panther strikes again!

We discovered the treehouse! So many fun things for the kids to climb in and on!

Popping out of a dinosaur egg in the treehouse!

Checking out the snakes and lizards.

Pool fun at the Lewis'!
Tuesday we had a crazy storm here - Mom was driving home with the kids and the sky turned black and trees came crashing down all over the roads.  It took us forever to get home and we didn't have power for hours.  The kids had a fun playing with flashlights!

Fun in the dark!
This past weekend was just great.  Friday afternoon we spent outside enjoying the warm weather.  Johnny loves playing baseball, hockey and soccer.  Lily is our little fish!  Saturday was rainy but Sunday was perfect.  Unfortunately, the storm we had on Tuesday knocked a red-tailed hawk out of it's nest and Dad found it injured behind our shed.  The nature society was called and took the bird.  Saturday night we found out that the next morning, they were bringing two other red tailed hawks back to our house for release!  It was really cool and a few neighbors joined us for the early morning event.  Right after that, we went to the orchard near the house to pick raspberries and peaches to make sorbet.  After we got home, we played outside and Lily got to drive the tractor.  She was in heaven.  She said "this is the best day ever" about 100 times.   Probably my favorite day of the year so far.  :)
Baseball!

Fishy fish!

Waiting for the hawk release. In heels.

Pretty posing!
I tried to post the video of the two releases - technical difficulties.  Will attempt again tomorrow!
One of the hawks flew right to our tree.

Tractor ride out to the fruit.

Take 2 - Dad no glasses.

Mom and Johnny baseball!

Just relaxing, talking about the fruit trees. So, so sweet.

And now eating.

Reliving the picture from 3 years ago.

She said it was the "best day ever" so  many times.

We had so many raspberries they asked to take a picture for the website!  Way to go, family!

Driving!

Directions from Dad.

Most hilarious picture ever.

Baseballllll!

'Tis season of hot sun and baseball.  That's just what we got last weekend in Pittsburgh.  After a fun Friday traveling and playing at Grandma and PapPap's, we spent the day at PNC Park with Daddy's family cheering on our teams.  Lily and Mommy routed for the Phillies and Johnny and Daddy routed for the Pirates.  It was so much fun!

Making their famous french toast!

Raspberry fingers!
