Snow Days, Butterfly Princess & Grammy's Birthday

Thank goodness it's March.  We are ready for Spring!  The kids have had several snow days over the past two weeks...three days last week.  Fun and long days! The kids loved playing in the snow and sledding.  Lily was able to go outside and play with the neighborhood kids (finally!) and she couldn't have been happier or more excited.

Just this past Friday, Grammy, Uncle Brett, Lily, Johnny and Mom went to the Philadelphia Flower Show.  The theme this year was The Movies.  It was fun to see the flower arrangements in various (mostly Disney) themed movies.  Many Princess movies - of course Lily loved it!  But her favorite part was called "The Butterfly Experience".  It was a separate exhibit from the Flower Show and in this big room were many butterflies.  We arrived at the perfect time, as they were unpacking butterflies that were transported to the show.  Lily got to sit and learn about the butterflies, how to hold them and was able to feed them after they woke up from their long naps.  One butterfly took a special liking to Lily and decided to make her headband a temporary home.  Then a friend joined.  She was glowing with excitement.  People would walk by her and call her the Butterfly Princess.  Definitely a day she will remember.  Apologies for all of the pictures.  I couldn't cut them down.
