Halloween!!!!

Hooray for Halloween! The past two weekends have been packed with fun times and costumes.  To kick it off, it was Lily's teacher's birthday on the 21st, so Mom headed to school with the other classroom moms to give each kid a rose to hand the teacher as they walked into class.  Mrs. Elmer was so surprised and so thankful.  She even teared up!  (Perhaps that growing baby in there is making her emotional) :)

That Saturday, Daddy - who is recovering from an Achilles injury and is hobbling around in a sexy boot -took  Johnny to a festive fall birthday party while Mom took Lily to soccer and then to see her friends Sammie and Mathilde.  Although Daddy didn't get any pictures, they had a blast in a corn maze, riding the hay ride and shooting the corn blaster.  Lily had an eventful day with an amazing goal at soccer!  The fun just continued as she played with her old friends and painted pumpkins.

A few (possible) final shots of outdoors fun?

Next up is Johnny.  Oh Johnny.  Every day when I drop him off, we build a train together in his class.  Sometimes they're small and simple.  Sometimes they're long and windy. He loves it.  I love it too.  I finally remembered my phone to snag a picture.   And of course it was the day we built our most awesome track to date, complete with bridges and tunnels! He was the happiest little guy that day.

Onto Halloween!  The kids got to dress up twice and loved every minute of it.  Lily was Cat Girl, complete with black hair.  She had a blast going to school with her newly sprayed hair.  She received a package from Auntie A the nights before and opened it before school on the parade day.  Thank you, Auntie!

Lily's school parade and after party were so much fun. The kids really enjoyed being silly and playing games.  Johnny dressed up as Spider-man for school but no parents were invited for their mid-day parade.

On Saturday, Grammy came down to see Lily's soccer game and coincidentally the same day as the Media Halloween Parade.  It was a beautiful day!  Lily's team won their soccer game and the kids had a ball dressing up again and getting a head start with candy.  Lily waved the ENTIRE parade to all of the floats, marching bands and groups walking.  It was heartwarming.  Her energetic and warm smile was contagious and everyone that caught a glimpse of her, couldn't help but smile back.  Johnny, aka Batman had the most fun watching the gigantic firetrucks!

Trick or Treat! The kids made out like bandits yet again!  It was another fun year with the neighborhood crew!

Just a sweet moment....Lily's reading is wonderful and she and Johnny have started to spend a few minutes each night in Lily's bed while she reads to him.  He loves her ever changing books and she loves to read to him.
