December & Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Our lucky kids celebrated four Christmas’ this year in addition to gingerbread house and cookie making, a snow day, Lily’s school concert and party, and ice skating as part of the seasonal festivities.

We kicked off Christmas in early December by visiting Santa and making gingerbread houses at Lily’s school. Later that weekend we made and decorated cookies but they turned out awful after all the hard work! They were good sports!

Celebration #1 was at Grammys with the Tharp clan. The cousins enjoyed a fun day together!

Next up was Lily’s school concert. She picked her dresss out and loved every bit of the performance. We then celebrated an early dinner at her favorite Italian restaurant.  A few day later was Lily’s class party. The kids made ornaments, cards and played games. Lily was exceptional at Pictionary!

Celebration #2 was at Ba and Pops House for more cousin time, a make your own sundae party, nerf gun war and some great gifts. The morning after we got home, Johnny opened up his new car track and set it up all by himself!

On Christmas Eve, we made another round of cookies ( much better this time!) and went ice skating. It was the kids first time on skates and other than the cold, they loved it!

We spent the rest of the afternoon playing with games and toys.

Then..... Santa came!!!!! It was the most memorable yet!!!!!

Mid morning on Christmas Day we packed the car and drove to Pittsburgh. We had s great few days! The final gift giving celebration was had, played with lots of fun stuff, visited the science center and had a fun Mexican dinner. It was sad to end the holiday but we are happy to be home!
