Middle of July & Pia's 5th Birthday!

July has been going great.  The weekend of 4th of July, we surprised GiGi with a visit from the whole Tharp crew.  The kids enjoyed running around in the basement and coloring.

This summer, Lily and John have a babysitter, so no rushing around to camps.  It's been amazing for everyone!  Lily and John see their friends at the pool almost daily, get to go to the movies, SkyZone, library...whatever they want!  Lily and her friend, Lucy, went ice skating on a super hot day so Johnny had the babysitter, Samantha, all to himself.  They put puzzles together and played lots of games.

One night, we played a trick on Daddy.  We made S'mores but his S'more was made with cat food, along with the Hershey bar and marshmallow.  He figured it out before eating it...we wouldn't have let him eat it anyways but the kids thought it was just the funniest thing ever.  Daddy, not so much.

Johnny was invited to his friend, Nolan's, birthday party at Oasis. He was a champion of the rock wall and had a blast playing games with his buddies.  That weekend also wrapped up Lily's soccer tournament team, so on our way home from the tournament, we stopped at Evil Genius Brewery to celebrate.  Johnny liked the blow up creature outside and insisted on a picture.  :)

Friday, July 19th, Mommy took a half day and drove the kids down to the beach to kickoff our annual weekend at the Mitchell house for Pia's birthday.  It was a hot, hot day and the cool ocean water felt great. After a treat on the boardwalk, we headed to the Mitchell compound for some swimming and family time.  Pops, Ba and Jack were there too for some night swimming.  It was great!  Saturday was Pia's big party.  Lots of friends came to swim and cool off.  Uncle Brett and Sarah brought amazing bubbles that were a huge hit with kids and adults! The Bozic fishies spent so much time in the pool. Johnny now loves the diving board and Lily has perfected her dive.  Saturday night, Mom and Dad headed back to Philly for a wedding while the kids had a sleepover.  It worked out great!  The next day, Mom spent the day at the Mitchell's pool again with the kids before heading home.  Summer is flying by!!
