The school year ended in mid-June, which ended Lily's elementary school experience. She heads off to middle school in the fall! The kids had lots of events to wrap up the school year, including field day, class parties and social gatherings. We also celebrated Johnny's birthday with friends around his baseball schedule. We got to see the Mitchell's and Uncle Brett in Ocean City, while Lily played in a softball tournament. It was so great to see them all! We swam, played and had an epic dance party.
Johnny completed his regular baseball season and was selected to an elite summer team of the best kids in the club. He was so excited to play more baseball and got a snazzy new uniform to wear for the next month.
Unfortunately, Lily had an accidental trip and fall the day school ended at Johnny's soccer practice and she fractured her elbow. After many doctor visits, she was put in a cast for two weeks. Even a bigger bummer is that the two weeks fell over the softball national tournament we were set to go to in Myrtle Beach over 4th of July. But we didn't let that stop us from most plans in June. Lily strapped on a waterproof cast cover and was able to join her friends at pool parties.
We also celebrated Father's Day, treating Dad to the things he loves best! June was great!
